HRM Field Conditions
Wednesday, May 16 2012 3:04 PM- HRM Outdoor Sport Facilities are now open for the season on a limited basis. Please contact your Scheduling Office for information on availability.
Any Ball Diamond or Sport Field that has had a Rental Contract issued for use is OPEN for play today.
Please ensure you have officials monitor playing conditions (as is normal practice) for the safety of players and for the condition of turf prior to using any HRM outdoor athletic facility. If there is any risk at all that a player could be injured or if there is a possibility of damaging turf, we ask that you do not play and that you do not use excessive means to prepare fields for play. You are responsible for any and all damages as outlined in your Facility Rental Contract.
To report improper use of fields or to advise of any safety concerns, vandalism, maintenance issues, etc., contact our Corporate Call Centre at 490-4000.
The Harbour East and Mainland Common All Weather Sport Facilities are open for play on a daily basis as scheduled. Should either of the all weather fields need to be closed for any reason, you would be notified directly, as quickly as possible by staff.
Any damages caused to any and all turf as a result of unscheduled or unauthorized use could impact the ability to open fields for play. Any use of HRM facilities without the appropriate authorization or when fields are closed will result in fines and possible loss of future scheduling privileges.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FACILITY RENTAL CONTRACTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY AND ALL USE OF HRM OUTDOOR ATHLETIC FACILITIES.
